Popeye

Yesterday, I ate spinach and thought of Popeye.

While I was taking a bath I was singing:

I'm Popeye the Sailor Man. I'm Popeye the Sailor Man.
I'm strong to the finich, cause I eats me spinach.
I'm Popeye the Sailor Man.

And I sang it like a diva! Bathrooms unleash the inner diva in all of us, don't you think? But yeah, the lyrics is pretty weird. I just realized that when I was twelve. I really love Popeye as a kid (along with Tom and Jerry) but now I can't stand a minute watching it.

I'm still thankful for Popeye though. He inspired me to eat spinach and dress with panache.

I'm not really a fan of stripes, especially the horizontal one, because I think it makes me look fat and shorter. You know the illusion and stuff. But when I saw the gold detail of this Ralph Lauren top I know I have to buy it. I admit, I tend to be an impulsive shopper sometimes. But a lot of good things came out of it already. And I count this top in.

When it comes to accessories, I'm a minimalist. I don't put on a lot of jewelries and end up looking like a Christmas tree. Proportion is a rule I don't wanna break. As you can see in this outfit, my ears and neck were bare. This mix of bangles certainly reminds me of beach and sun, that's why I opted to wear them.

That's just how my style rolls. Whatever inspires me, I channel it through what I wear. What about you? Where does your style take root?

Betzy...I was LOL when I read you were singing like a diva with the song "I'm popeye the sailor man"...you are too hilarious girl. And don't tell me you were doing it in falsetto?

Anyway, back to the outfit, I love stripes and you really look good in stripes. The white pants is a plus. Great concept.

You make such a cute Popeye:P I love the cartoon too when I was young!!

And I love stripes, I can't count how many stripey items I have in my closet already! It's really getting out of hand!!

I'm definitely a jewelry person but I don't load up on a lot of them all at one time. It's just not me, so I guess I'm more of a minimalist like you:)

i know what you mean. i used to watch tom & jerry nonstop and on loop when i was young(er). but now... i can't stand them. haha. and then you think 'gawd i can't believe i liked this stupid cartoon'

i'm glad i was over that phase. i now moved on to anime. hahahaha.

I love the look but not so much the boots.

I am a big fan of white. it is so pristine and clean. I would just change the boots for ankles one. I think you legs would look longer and so more sleek..

keep me post it honey! un beso
